Mat et les Humains/Mat and Humans - The story of project - 2 - Mat genesis

More than a century separates these two photos. It's Sainte Eulalie de Cernon in Aveyron in southern France. In 1900, The whole area had been deforested. This village has its importance in the draft Mat and Human because this is where I live. As Mat, I landed by chance in this village There are six months. Mat and Humans is not merely a web animation series, it is also an initiatic experience for me.

Plus d'un siècle sépare ces deux photos. C'est Sainte Eulalie de Cernon en Aveyron, dans le sud de la France. En 1900, Toute la région avait été déboiser.  Ce village a son importance dans le projet de Mat et les Humains puisque c'est ici que je vie. Comme Mat, j'ai atterrie un peu par hasard dans ce village il y a six mois. Mat et les Humains n'est pas seulement une animatique de web serie, c'est également une expérience initiatique pour moi.

My next posts will be enshrined to telling the story of Matt and explain my project. Mat and Humans is a proposed feature film combining different techniques such as motion animation, the CGI or live action. I conssacre in this project since a year and a half. I am currently working on the animation of the first part of the film. This project has a budget imperative. It must not be expensive. I want to work in the spirit of the pioneers of cinema, from 1895, its fun with their cameras. Moreover, for the first part, which lasts nearly one hour may, there is no written script. I make directly animatic by two minutes. I am at the eleventh episode and there are twenty one.

Mes prochains messages seront consacré a vous raconter l'histoire de Mat et à vous expliquer mon projet. Mat et les Humains est un projet de film de long métrage combinant différentes techniques comme l'animation en volume, la cgi ou les prise de vue réelle. Je me consacre à ce projet depuis un ans et demi. Je travaille actuellement sur l'animatique de la première partie du film. Ce projet à un impératif budgétaire. Il ne doit pas couter cher. Je souhaite travailler dans l'esprit des pionniers du cinéma qui, dès 1895 se son amuser avec leurs cameras. D'ailleurs, pour la première partie qui dure a peut prés une heure, il n'existe pas de scénario écrit. Je réalise directement l'animatique par deux minutes. Je suis au onzième épisode et il y en à vingt un.

Little explanation for the picture. To work on the story of Mat, I decided to cut myself off from the world. I chose a small village in the south of France ... Internet comes to us via satellite. And so there, in the picture, I capture the wifi of the village from my cellar at the foot of the tower of a castle of the 14th century.


Originally Mat and humans, there is a small film. The Earth by an alien. I realize there a few years. Sorry, I propose the VO without subtitles for this one. This is episode 0 Mat and Humans.

Petite explication pour la photo. Pour travailler sur l'histoire de Mat, j'ai choisi de me couper du monde. J'ai choisi un petit village du sud de la France... Internet nous arrive via le satellite. Et donc là, sur la photo, je capte le wifi sur le village depuis ma cave au pied de la tour d'un château du 14ème siècle.


A l'origine de Mat et les Humains, il y a un petit film. La terre vue par un extraterrestre. Je l'ai réaliser il y a quelques années. Désolé, je vous propose la VO sans sous-titre pour cette fois. C'est donc l'épisode 0 de Mat et les Humains.
